2 weeks to go until the 2014 Great Northern Brewing Co Flathead Classic

Well 2 weeks and 1 day but who is counting? I am kidding myself?  we all are counting down to our favourite time of the year the Flattie Classic! I am starting to see pics of Flatties flood my facebook newsfeed which is a great sign.

Some important info and a few to do’s before you join us

• Pack the Digital camera with a clean SD card. Smart phones are not suitable as you have to be able to transfer pics to a computer at the end of the day
• Be familiar with our precinct:
  • parking is at the end of North St and Gold Coast Highway in the parklands in the roped off area
  • Walk South from here to the precinct which is near the Southport Bathing Pavillions right next door to the Blue Bait and tackle shop. End of Railway st and Gold Coast Hwy in the GR Thompson Park Southport Broadwater Parklands
  • We are fully licensed so no alcohol can be bought into the Precinct
• Turn up to register/check in and attend tournament Briefing On Wednesday 1st October Registration and Bars open from 4pm you will be able to check out our sponsor trade stands. Dinner at 6.15 Briefing and raffles to follow. We prefer if all team members attend to hear the briefing however at least one member MUST be there.
• Check the Boat and safety gear. It is the captains responsibility to ensure that the boat is seaworthy and all the correct safety gear is on board. We are under the watchful eye of the authorities and would like all our competitors to be great ambassadors for our comp.

• Where team shirts and get into the spirit of the event!
• Bring sunscreen (none in the bag this year)  and wet weather gear just in case
• Bring plenty of coins for our nightly bumper raffles
