The Simrad Snapper Classic is back on Saturday, 18th October, inviting anglers of all levels to hit the water for a full day of offshore action. Fishing runs from 4:00 am to 12:00 pm across Queensland waters only, with teams of two or three anglers launching from anywhere—but no lines in until 4:00 am.

Competitors will photograph and measure their biggest five snapper on a brag mat with the official token, submitting both brag mat and holding photos to the GCSFC Community Page. This year’s rogue species category is Cobia, adding an extra twist for those chasing variety.

With cash prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place, plus awards for the biggest snapper (senior, junior) and biggest cobia, there’s plenty to fish for. Entry is $150 per team.

The team briefing will be held at 6pm on Friday, 17th October and emailed to all team captains, with winners announced at the clubhouse from 2pm, featuring a Simrad Sounder random draw for one lucky team.
