Bream On! Atomic Bream Tournament Hits the Water this June

Anglers, get your gear ready – the Atomic Bream Tournament is coming to the Gold Coast on Saturday, 7th June 2025, and it's shaping up to be an absolute cracker!

Hosted by the Gold Coast Sportfishing Club, this one-day event is open to everyone – from seasoned fishos to juniors keen to show off their skills. With cash prizes, sponsor giveaways, and bragging rights on the line, it's time to team up, tie your leaders, and hit the water.

Fast Facts:

  • Date: Saturday, 7th June 2025

  • Location: GC Sportfishing Clubhouse

  • Fishing Time: 6:30am – 1:00pm

  • Briefing: 6:15am sharp at the boat ramp near the clubhouse

  • Entry Close: Friday 6th June, 6:00pm – no late entries!

Teams of 2–3 anglers are welcome, and it's open to men, women, and juniors (under 16). Mixed teams encouraged!

Entry Fees:

  • $100 – Senior Non-Member

  • $90 – Senior Member

  • $60 – Junior Non-Member

  • $50 – Junior Member

Submit Your Catch:

  • Catch a Bream or Tarwhine of any size

  • Measure to the fork of the tail

  • Upload to the Gold Coast Sportfishing Club Facebook Community Page by 1:15pm sharp

Then join us back at the clubhouse for a cold drink, sausage sizzle, and presentations.

Boundaries:

Fish between the Nerang River Highway Bridge and Russell Island Power Lines. Step outside and you’re out.

Quick Rules:

  • PFDs must be worn underway

  • Lures or fly only – no bait or berley

  • One rod per angler

  • No fishing in marinas or no-go zones

  • Play fair and respect your fellow anglers
