New Financial Year with Exciting Updates

As July rolls in, the Gold Coast Sportfishing Club is diving into the new 2025/26 financial year with fresh opportunities and events for members and the local community.

The club has officially launched its streamlined online membership system, making it simpler than ever for fishing enthusiasts to join or renew their membership. Anglers and supporters can now sign up quickly with just a few clicks, ensuring everyone stays connected to the club’s vibrant community.

In a big step to strengthen local ties, the club also announced the launch of its new Sponsor Directory. This initiative aims to link members directly with trusted local businesses, supporting the Gold Coast economy while offering members easy access to quality services. Local business owners are encouraged to register their businesses and be part of this growing network.

The excitement continues with the 2025 Wilson Elite Flathead Series underway. Round 1 was a huge success, boasting impressive catches and spirited competition. The club extends congratulations to all participants and a big thank you to sponsor Wilson for their support. Awards for Round 1 top performers will be presented at the upcoming July Club Night on Thursday, 10th July from 5 pm at the clubhouse.

Registration is now open for Round 2 of the series—the Zerek Round—scheduled for Saturday, 12 July from 6:30 am to 4:00 pm. Anglers eager to test their skills can secure their spot for what promises to be another thrilling day on the water.

For families, the club’s School Holiday Kids Fishing Clinic is almost here. With only 30 spots available, this is a fantastic chance for kids to learn new fishing skills in a fun, supportive environment. Parents are encouraged to book early to avoid missing out.
