Well I hope everyone had a fantastic Christmas and you were able to get out fishing and target some of your favourite species. It certainly seemed that the Dolphinfish and small Marlin were in good numbers offshore, while inshore, plenty of whiting, bream, crabs and some quality flathead were on offer.
The offshore species of the month were the best combined Mahi Mahi and Mackerel of any species, with Glenn Croft taking home the $100 Doug Burts Tackleworld voucher with a 120cm Mahi Mahi and a 100cm Mackeral.
The inshore species of the month was Mangrove Jack and Steve Ward with a 43cm specimen took out the prize.
The target species for February will be Offshore best combined Marlin/Mackeral and Inshore best 3 Whiting.
Following the success of the inaugural Gold Coast Sport Fishing Club Mangrove Jack competition last year, the date has been set for this years event. Lock in Sunday 22 March 2015 into your diary!!!! More details will be released soon.

The pic of the month prize did not go off so it will jackpot to $100 at the next meeting on the 12th of Feb!
