Team Entry - Snapper Classic
Get ready to hit the water for one of the most exciting offshore comps on the Gold Coast calendar — the Simrad Snapper Classic! Open to all anglers — male, female, and juniors — this event celebrates great fishing, good mates, and a bit of healthy competition.
Event Schedule
Briefing: 6:00 pm, Friday 17th October
(Online Video + emailed to all Team Captains)Fishing Times: 4:00 am – 12:00 pm, Saturday 18th October
Presentation: at the clubhouse from 1:00 pm
Boundaries & Launch Info
Queensland waters only
You may launch from anywhere, but no lines in the water until 4:00 am
Competition Rules
Measure and photograph your biggest 5 snapper on a brag mat with the official token provided at briefing.
All fish measured to the fork.
Submit both:
Brag mat photo (clear view of length and token)
Holding photo (for our socials!)
Upload all photos to the GCSFC Community Page.
Once fishing finishes, text your 5 biggest snapper lengths to(Jason Games Master) 0414535792 to verify your catch for presentation.

1st Place: Minimum $800
2nd & 3rd Place: Cash prizes (scaled from total entry pool)
Species Awards
Biggest Snapper – Senior (Male/Female): $150
Biggest Snapper – Junior: $75
Rogue Species: Biggest Cobia – $100

Drawn live during the online presentation — every team is in with a chance! (Must be present for Simrad draw to win.)

All photos must be uploaded to the GCSFC Community Facebook Page before 1:00 pm.

Showing token and measurement visibly
Holding shots encouraged for social features!
